Tavish Scott, Leader of the Scottish Liberal Democrats, joined Harry Wills to officially launch his campaign for the Glenrothes by-election. Harry was also supported by Willie Rennie MP, who won a stunning victory at the last Westminster by-election to be held in Fife - taking Dunfermline and West Fife from Labour, overturning a huge majority.

Harry said: "To say that this is the launch of my campaign would not be entirely accurate. We have been working hard for weeks, meeting voters and dealing with the issues that they care about.

"Indeed you could say that the Liberal campaign in Fife that started 21 years ago with the election of Ming Campbell in North East Fife, that was cemented with Willie Rennie's stunning by-election win in Dunfermline only 2 short years ago, and that continues today, is stronger than ever.

Tavish Scott added: "Harry Wills can win Glenrothes and join the Liberal Democrat team in Westminster. Labour and the SNP will put Gordon Brown and Alex Salmond first, but for Harry, Fife and Glenrothes will always come first.

"The last time there was a by-election in Fife no one gave us a chance. But Willie Rennie swept to victory, brushing aside a Labour majority of over 10,000.

"All bets are off. The Liberal Democrats are on the move in Fife."

If you are a resident of the West Aberdeenshire and Kincardine constituency and are writing to discuss any issue that Parliament or government is responsible for, you must provide your home address as MPs are generally only permitted to act on behalf of constituents.

If you are not a constituent, you do not need to provide your address, but the matters we can deal with are more limited and you may wish to contact your local MP in the first instance.
