Tavish Scott, Leader of the Liberal Democrats in Scotland, has called for politicians to work together to rid Scotland of racism.
Mr Scott participated in the Show Racism the Red Card football match last Friday, when, watched by Scotland Manager George Burley, politicians took on former players including Gordon Smith.
Commenting after of the match, Mr Scott said:
"Racism in football is totally unacceptable. We should all work on a cross party basis to drive it from the game and from Scotland. I'm delighted to have taken part in this match to promote the Show Racism the Red Card campaign.
"They were a formidable team and, despite losing 8-2, I hope that George Burley saw enough talent on display to consider us for future Scotland squads."
