Commenting as the remaining analogue channels in the Borders are replaced by a digital service, Liberal Democrat MSP for Tweeddale, Ettrick and Lauderdale Jeremy Purvis said:
"With the first stage of the switchover there were problems, particularly up the A68 corridor. Many constituents had been in touch with me to voice their frustration.
"I will be monitoring the situation very closely over the next few days and will be in contact with Digital UK. This is a major viewing shift for the Borders. Whilst many people have remarked on how much they are looking forward to receiving a range of digital channels, anger remains that over half the viewers will receive only half the channels as their signal comes from a relay transmitter.
"Michael Moore MP and I will ensure that the UK and Scottish Governments don't wash their hands of the digital switchover in the Borders until these problems are resolved."
