West Aberdeenshire & Kincardine MSP Mike Rumbles has congratulated Kemnay Primary after it successfully bid for lottery funding.
The school has been awarded £947 from the Big Lottery Fund.
The funding will be used to purchase portable basketball stands, basketball nets, four basketballs and 25 basketball strips.
Commenting, Mike Rumbles said:
"This is excellent news. All too often schools and other organisations here in the North-east miss out on these type of grants at the expense of the Central Belt.
"I would urge other local schools and organisations to follow Kemnay Primary's lead and bid for a share of this lottery funding."
